Wedding Hair and Makeup FAQs

Below are some wedding hair and make up FAQs that may help with any questions you may have about your hair and makeup.

When booking will the same hair and make-up artist do my wedding and my trial?
Yes – the same hair and make-up artist will do your wedding and the trial.

If I book a trial, will I have to go ahead with a wedding day booking?
You do not have to go ahead with the booking if you decide not to use us. You need to let us know if you did not want to go ahead after the trial. If we have not heard from you within 7 days after the trial, we will take it that you want to go ahead with us for your wedding day. After this time you cannot cancel.

When should I have my trial?
You should have a trial 8-12 weeks before your wedding day. You can have it earlier if you have your veil or tiara already.

How long will my trial take?
It depends on what we try out, but typically for the bride only, about 2 hours for full hair and make-up.

What will I need for the trial?
A. You will need all the wedding day items you want to put in your hair and images of anything you like so we can discuss how this will work for your wedding day look.

When do I pay?
A. The payment information is listed in full on our booking form. The trial needs to be paid at the trial and then the wedding day payment is due 7 working days before your wedding day. You can pay by bank transfer, Google payment or direct to the hair and make-up artist.

Are false eyelashes included in the price?
A. False eyelashes are not included in the price.  Strip lashes are available or you can have semi permanent ones applied two days before your wedding. See our wedding price list for details.

What make-up products do you use?
We use high quality, professional beauty products including Mac, Stila, Laura Merica, Bobbi Brown and Channel.

I have sensitive skin. Will your make-up products upset my skin?
All the products we use are hypo-allergenic, so are unlikely to cause you a problem.

Should I wash my hair on the day of my wedding?
If you have fine hair you should wash it on the morning of the wedding. If your hair is thicker, you should wash it the day before your wedding.

How far will you travel for a wedding?
We will travel up to 40 minutes to weddings within Surrey, Hampshire or Berkshire without an additional charge. If you are further away than 40 minutes, then you will be charged 45p per mile.

Are your teamed fully qualified?
Yes, they are all very highly trained, professional hair and make-up artists. You can read more about us all on our Meet the Team page.
