Wedding Hair – Your Freqently Asked Questions

Q: When should I start to think about my wedding hair?
A:
As soon as you know what sort of dress style you are going for, you should start to think about your wedding hair so that you can start researching wedding hair styles you may like to try. At this stage you can also start looking for hair accessories ideas and veils.  Importantly, starting to think about your wedding hair this soon, gives you enough time to grow your hair – just in case more length is needed for the style you want and it gives you more time to get your hair in tip top and super shiny condition.

Q: How far in advance should I colour my hair?
A:
You should have your hair coloured a week before your wedding and cut if needed. This way you have time to sort it out if it didn’t go right. You should always do a trial run of the colour you are going to go for, at least a few months before your actual wedding day, to check you are happy with it.

Q: How do I know what styles will suit my face shape?
A: If you have a round or square face, you want to go for styles that sit high on your head so that this will elongate your face. You could go for a curly bun on top of your head or a french pleat with plenty of height.

If you have a long or heart shape face, you should go for a softer look with a sweepy fringe or a fringe and bits coming down. You could also go for a half up, half down look or a side low bun.

Q: My hair is in bad condition what should I do?
A: The only way to improve your hair condition is it get it cut. Once you have had your hair cut, you should use an intensive conditioner to keep it in good condition. Don’t forget that having a healthy diet will help the condition of your hair too!

Q: How do I add volume to my hair?
A: There are a few ways to add volume. You can back comb the hair to add volume or you can also buy clip-in hair extensions which as you clip in and build the hair up into a style, it will create more volume. If you go for a curly style, this will also create volume to your hair.
