Louise Avery shares her predictions for wedding flower trends in 2012 and tips for all brides in choosing their wedding day flowers.
What flowers are brides choosing for their winter weddings at the moment?
Each season has its own mood and Louise is busy at the moment with our winter weddings. We have just completed the Christmas collection of weddings where brides chose from combinations such as a sparkling winter wonderland look complete with white glittered trees and garlands including winter white roses and twinkling fairy lights, to luxury red combinations with velvety amaryllis, combinations of berries, masses of winter fragrant foliages and romantic candles everywhere!
What colours do you predict to be popular this summer?
Looking ahead to the summer, classic combinations of peonies, sweet peas and roses are always very firm favourites and the vintage look with beautiful soft muted shades looks to be popular again.
Do you have any tips for our brides on choosing their wedding flowers?
When the options can sometimes seem overwhelming Louise would always advise using seasonal flowers which ensures stronger stems, bigger heads, colour reliability and the best prices. Reduce your stress and gather expertise by booking a specialist florist who will be able to guide you through the whole process of wedding planning, leaving you with more time to enjoy preparing for the big day.
