Amaryllis Bridalwear share their 2012 wedding dress style trends

A guest blog from Surrey and Hampshire based bridal gown retailer, Amaryllis Bridalwear.

As your search for your dream wedding gown is approaching, you will be scouring the many magazines and blogs looking for ideas.

Here at Amaryllis Bridalwear, we have put together a selection of some of the amazing styles that are currently available from our 2012 collections. They are all proving to be a popular choice with our brides!

Some of the latest wedding dress style trends for 2012 include…

Lace Gowns

Since the Royal Wedding we have more and more brides wanting lace gowns. Gone are the days where lace is seen as ‘your grandmother’s net curtains’!

We just love Maggie Sottero, Embrace. It is just beautiful. The delicate lace is gently draped over satin and is finely gathered towards the waist, highlighted with a pleated satin band and an embellished floral corsage as a focal point. The scalloped neckline and bottom hem frame this unforgettable A-line silhouette. Finished with corset closure and featuring Swarovski crystals.

Another firm favourite is Justin Alexander 8557. A beautiful lace gown with a pleated silk waistband. Including a detachable silk flower. A-line skirt with sweetheart neckline with scalloped edge and bottom hem, elegantly finished with back zip and silk buttons.

Destination Gowns

Destination Gowns are increasingly popular with many brides taking to the beaches for their dream wedding (and honeymoon!)

Ronald Joyce, Sable and Summer, are two gowns that we absolutely adore. They are both very lightweight and slim fitting. They really have the WOW factor! They have the most amazing back detail to them, with beaded embellishments. Made from a luxurious satin, both gowns are sheer elegance.

Necklines

Sweetheart, V-neck, scoop neck…or even one shoulder!

Maggie Sottero, Mona is a gown with a difference. This classic A-line silhouette is given a modern twist with Opulent Chiffon swept into the one-shoulder neckline glistening with beaded embellishments. The gathered skirt features a beaded motif accenting the side hip.
